On this safari, you can see giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, elephants, hippos, and a wide variety of birds. Among the rarer sightings are rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, and even a lion kill.

Itinerary

  • Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Morning Glory team member will greet you and transfer you to your hotel, lodge, or hostel for overnight accommodation. Your head guide will meet you there for a briefing, gear check, and to assist with any equipment rentals you may need.

  • The drive from Moshi/Arusha to Tarangire National Park takes approximately 3 hours. In Tarangire, you'll encounter large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx, which gather here until the rains begin. Later in the evening, return to the Omega View Lodge or a similar accommodation in Karatu.

  • Enjoy a half-day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater, the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos and prides of lions, including the magnificent black-maned males. You'll also encounter vibrant flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other wildlife you may spot includes leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, various antelope species, and small mammals. After the drive, return to Omega View Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

  • Depart from Omega View Lodge and drive to Lake Manyara National Park. After lunch in Manyara, embark on a game drive where you can observe monkeys and elephants standing in the shade of a baobab tree. You may also see zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and more. In the late afternoon, drive back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
