Itinerary

  • Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Morning Glory team member will greet you and transfer you to your hotel, lodge, or hostel for overnight accommodation. Your head guide will meet you there for a briefing, gear check, and to assist with any equipment rentals you may need.

  • The drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park takes about two hours. This park is especially spectacular during the dry season when many migratory wildlife species return to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather in Tarangire until the rains arrive, prompting their migration to better grazing areas. Overnight at Omega View Lodge or a similar hotel.

  • The drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge, located in the eastern Serengeti plains, is a significant archaeological site where early human fossils were first discovered. Its stunning landscape was formed by the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. In the late evening, proceed to Tukaone Tented Lodge or a similar accommodation for an overnight stay. Meal plan: Full Board (FB).

  • After an early morning breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a full game drive en route from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro. Accommodation will be at Ngorongoro Wild Palm Lodge or a similar venue, where you will have dinner and stay overnight.

  • After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos, along with prides of lions, including the magnificent black-maned males. You'll also encounter colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other wildlife you might see includes leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, various antelope species, and small mammals. In the late afternoon, drive to Green Mountain View Lodge (B&B) for your overnight stay.
