Itinerary

  • Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Morning Glory team member will greet you and transfer you to your hotel, lodge, or hostel for overnight accommodation. Your head guide will meet you there for a briefing, gear check, and to assist with any equipment rentals you may need.

  • The drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park takes about three hours. This park is especially spectacular in the dry season when many migratory wildlife species return to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River. Large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather here until the rains begin, prompting them to migrate again to better grazing areas. Overnight accommodation will be at Omega View Lodge or a similar establishment.

  • The drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge takes 3 to 4 hours. Olduvai Gorge, an archaeological site in the eastern Serengeti plains, is where early human fossils were first discovered. It features a stunning landscape formed by the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. In the late evening, drive to Tukaone Tented Lodge or a similar accommodation for an overnight stay. Meal plan: Full Board (FB).

  • After breakfast, depart early in the morning for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy a full game drive en route from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro. Accommodation will be at Ngorongoro Wild Palm Lodge or a similar location, where you will have dinner and stay overnight.

  • After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. This is the best place in Tanzania to see black rhinos and prides of lions, including the magnificent black-maned males. You will also encounter colorful flamingos and a variety of water birds. Other wildlife you might see includes leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, various antelope species, and small mammals. In the late afternoon, drive to Omega View Lodge or a similar B&B for your overnight stay.

  • The drive from Omega View Lodge to Lake Manyara National Park takes about 30 minutes. After enjoying a picnic lunch in Manyara, embark on a late afternoon game drive, the best time to view the park's wildlife. Approaching from the east, the Rift Valley escarpment creates an impressive backdrop to the lake. In the tall trees of the groundwater forest, monkeys leap from branch to branch, while elephants find shade on the escarpment. Commonly seen animals include zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffalos, hippos, and more. In the late afternoon, return to Omega View Lodge or a similar accommodation in Arusha.

  • It's time to say goodbye, friend! Check out of your lodging and enjoy a convenient transfer to the airport. We hope to see you again soon!
